I sat down with a bowl of the best ramen in the city to chop it up with the Sauce Lord himself.
1. Detail a typical day in the Ramen kingdom.
I wake up between the hours of 7:30 am and 8:30 am because that’s the time my body decides to wake me up. I sit in bed contemplating my existence and then I take my morning poop. From there, I check my schedule to figure out my day. If it ain’t on the schedule, it ain't real. After that, I just run the day. Around 8:00 pm-9:00 pm, I sit at my computer and stare into the void until the art is made.
2. Tell us the color of a beat.
For me, they are either really warm and inviting or completely cold and mesmerizing.
3. When you look back, what makes you happy with how far you've come?
I haven’t clocked in since April 2022 and it’s a blessing. In the introspective tip, I’m a melanated individual fully ten toes down in my Head Nigganess. It’s surreal.
4. What do people have wrong about you?
I actually have no songs out under the name Young Ramen, but everybody thinks I do. And they still think I sell cars.
5. Where do you find yourself emotionally when you're creating?
I’m either super inspired or incredibly depressed. There’s no in-between. If I’m paid, there’s an in-between, but other than that.
6. Top 5 best cartoons and why?
As Told by Ginger - it made me sob crying on how real that show is.
Hey Arnold! - covered so many deep topics that is kids who grew up in underdeveloped communities but how we still find pride and love where we are from
