The Joi Element was born on the floor of my sister's house: freshly separated, my toddler in my lap and a laptop balancing the weight of possibility. What began as virtual assistant work has grown into something I couldn't have imagined 15 years ago.
But this was never just about tasks or timelines. It's always been about transformation.
I started The Joi Element because I believe every brand has a moment waiting to break through. That "I get it now" moment. The fear melts. The vision sharpens. Everything aligns.
For 15 years, I've helped Black women leaders find their voices, build their brands and own their stories. I've watched platforms evolve from spaces of freedom to systems of control. I've seen authenticity become currency, and then become performance. I've witnessed the rise of AI and realized: if we don't document our voices now, someone (or something) will do it for us.
